AGU to Participate in 3rd Technical Creativity in Charitable Work Conference and Exhibition

The Arabian Gulf University is set to participate in the 3rd Technical Creativity in Charitable Work Conference and Exhibition, which will take place on October 28 and 29, 2018. The two-day event will be held under the theme “Adapting Technology to Serve Humanity”. It will be patronised by the Minister of Labour and Social Development Mr Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan. The function will feature the participation of 400 personnel, including leaders and specialists from more than 23 countries and over 200 organisations.
The Head of the Department of Innovation and Technology Management at the College of Graduate Studies of AGU Dr Odeh Al-Jayyousi will address the attendees on the opening day of the exhibition. He will speak on the role of technology and creativity in the transformation of society. He will also discuss the role of innovation in making the philanthropy and humanitarian work sustainable. Moreover, he will shed light on the role of social innovation in cementing the idea of social solidarity and the richness of knowledge in the Arab-Islamic civilisation, as well as the role of the charitable endowment in innovative finance, which is called user-based innovation or open innovation.
The conference will showcase the best initiatives in the field of charity and humanitarian in the Arab world, alongside the ways in adapting technology in the development of Charitable endowments. In the same context, the conference will review the areas of radical development in different field of charitable work, as it highlights the ideas and the creative solutions and the technological inventions that are designed especially for the charitable work projects with the sole goal of achieving new qualitative results in this sector.
