Praising LPU environment and students, Hon’ble Bindal interacted with students: “Always remain connected with your temple of learning whichever profession you join after studies. We have made an approach to Law and students of other streams as law is equal and necessary for all and knowledge about this to all and sundry should be easy. With the changing era, we have also tried hard to digitalize the different aspects pertaining to courts and law awareness. We have also made the processes transparent so that there should be an end to the existing corruption in the legal services also. Today, with 5-stas Punjab & Haryana Courts’ website is number one in the country from where concerned ones can get important information easily. In this context lacs of SMS and e-mails are forwarded from our e-center.
On this occasion Hon’ble Justice Sangwan and Registrar Computerization Shri Rajneesh Bansal also informed students about e-information about court cases and procedures to the students.
In fact, Punjab and Haryana High Court had started efforts to computerize the records. In the beginning, effort was made to computerize filing, pendency and disposal of cases. During the year 2010-11 long term effort started with digitization, state of art servers, issuance of computerized certified copies, display boards, touch screen kiosks, development of static website and Local Area Network. From the year 2014 onwards, consolidation of infrastructure resulted in robust and secured platform to consolidate/launch various litigant centric services. However, with the passage of time, the project took off well with consistent efforts of Computer Committee from time to time and support and guidance from Hon’ble the then Chief Justices.
