The Advisor to the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, Emir of Makkah HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal received at his office at the Emirate Chamber in Makkah, the President of Umm Al-Qura University Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail accompanied by a number of UQU Vice Presidents. During the meeting, Makkah Emir underscored the importance of upgrading the educational and academic environment in such a manner, which will have a positive impact on the Nation’s renaissance in all fields.
He then reviewed the developmental projects currently being implemented by the university in its main campus in Makkah and its branches in Al-Qunfudhah, Al-Lith, Jamoum, Adhm and Al-Ordyat including; developing the buildings, increasing study classes, and preparing the facilities in these branches in such a manner which will guarantee creating the proper educational environment for male and female students.
He also reviewed the university’s plan set in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030 focusing on the investment on scientific research system based knowledge economy that will yield patents to be turned into tangible products serving the community through the labor market.
For his part, the UQU President extended his thanks and appreciation to Makkah Emir for his boundless support provided for Umm Al-Qura University stressing their keenness in the university to move forward in developing the academic work in such manner that guarantees achieving the set hopes and aspirations.
