The University of Dubai (UD) has partnered up with the Michigan State University (MSU) to launch two online certificates; Global Masters Certificate in Business Analytics and Global Masters Certificate in Integrated Supply Chain.
UD President Dr. Eesa Bastaki said: “We are happy to launch an online program designed to satisfy the needs of UAE citizens in the field of Supply Chain Management and Data Analytics.” He added that UD is determined to map out the requirements of UAE industries and provide the most advanced learning programs in the country. UD prides itself on aligning with Sheikh Mohammed’s ambition to make UAE one of the Excellent nations in many ways including creating partnerships with renowned educational institutions in the world to provide #1 quality education in the region.”
Dr. Vidya Nandagopal, Director of the Center for Executive Development (CED) said that participants of both programs are going to live the experience of graduate-level and campus-based students of MSU and UD – but with the added value of video-based e-learning. This means that participants can receive instructions and advice from home through their laptops or mobile devices 24/7.
Prior to launching the program, UD invited business leaders, CEOs and top government officers to attend the Round Table discussions at UD in order to understand the needs of UAE’s private and public sectors in the fields of Supply Chain and Business Analytics. The Round Table discussions were led by Dr. Essa Bastaki and two Senior members from Michigan State University, USA.
