The objectives of the workshop are to widen the involvement of stakeholders (internal and external) in the review of the current Strategic Plan (2013-2018) and enhance the ownership of Higher College of Technology; Conduct Strategic Plan 2013-2018 – SWOT analysis based on the implementation of the current strategic plan; Identify if the HCT – Quality Audit (OAAA) – Commendations, Affirmation & Recommendations (CARs) were addressed in the achievement of the Strategic Goals; Seek feedback on the implementation of the current Strategic Plan and propose suggestions on the five elements (Vision, Mission, Values, Graduate Attributes and Goals) for 4th Strategic Plan (2018-2023).
The workshop was presided by Dr.Khalid Abdul Aziz Ambusaidi (Dean) and facilitated by the Quality Assurance Unit (Dr. S.K.Sridhar, Mr. Francis Rajendran and Ms. Humera Jamil). The workshop was observed by Dr. Abdul Hakeem Al-Ismaily (DG of Technological Education), Dr. Ali Saud Almughairi (Deputy DG of Technological Education), Dr. Qasim Almarashei (Expert–MoM), Mr. Salim Hamood Al-Jabri (Quality Department–MoM), and Ms. Jinan Mehdi Mohammed.
The workshop participants were College Council members, Quality Assurance Unit, Unit Quality Assurance coordinators, HoS of all units, other key staff members, student representatives, alumni members and community members (parents and industry representatives. The total number of participants was 95 (69 Omanis and 26 Expats).
