United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) signed on Monday 3rd Sept. 2018, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Rural Development Administration (RDA), Republic of South Korea.
The MoU signed by H.E. Dr. Ali Rashed Al Noaimi, UAEU Chancellor, and Mr. Seung-yong Ra, Administrator, RDA, in the presence of Prof. Mohamed Albaili, UAEU Vice Chancellor, UAEU’s Dean of College of Food and Agriculture, and a number of officials and researchers from the both parties, aims to develop research on agricultural sciences and technology, and apply smart farm technology in agriculture and livestock.
H.E. Dr. Al Noaimi stressed the importance of exchanging experiences, developing research in science and technology, enhancing innovation and contributing effectively to achieving comprehensive sustainable development based on a well-established knowledge-based economy, as stipulated in the national agenda of UAE vision 2021.
Speaking on the event, Dr. Al Noaimi stated, “the memorandum falls within the framework of enhancing cooperation in areas of research, education and capacity-building to address issues of mutual interest, publishing joint research papers and books, exchanging experts and technicians, and holding joint workshops, conferences, symposia and exhibitions on agriculture and conservation and sustainable utilization of agricultural bio-resources”.
